Neo Church

I try to read creative blogs to create new boxes. As I prepare to plant a church in the Paris area of France, the only thing that I know is the French people don't much like church. I am constantly thinking of re-thinking church. I really like this Neo Church blog. Well said Pastor Mark.

Happy New Year

I love the New Year's holiday. It is a time to start over; a time for new beginnings. Actually, I love the period from just after Christmas to about the 2nd week in January. It takes me that long to really nail down my resolutions. I find that I always need to adjust my life a bit. I get excited about the time of year when it, at least, feels like you can start over.

It is kind of like a new semester in college. When you are preparing for final exams and finishing research papers you already begin to think about how you will be better prepared next semester. Maybe I should start renewing my resolutions on the semester system. There would be less damage to repair.

Actually, this New Year's holiday is different. We finally have our team together to go to France. We have scheduled team training in May and have a potential deployment date of August or September. This is the dream that God has put on my heart and it will all finally be taking place in 2006. I never wanted to go to France but now there is nothing that I would rather do. Really. I am more challenged than ever to seek the Lord with all of my heart becuase the Bible says that you will find Him when you seek Him with all of your heart. I know it sounds simple but who really does this?
