Dates, Temples, and Tombs

I agonized throughout the day yesterday, because we had a babysitter for the evening and because . . . well . . . I am a man. I suffer from date planning stupidity. Yesterday everything that I looked up on the internet or had in mind (not much there) was not turning up anything to "wow" my bride on a budget. Literally, 15 minutes before the babysitter arrived I found that the North Carolina Museum of Art was having a FREE grand opening celebration for the Temples and Tombs: Treasures of Egyptian Art from The British Museum. We got to see the exhibit for FREE (last night only). We got to hear music and watch belly dancers in the park and cool stuff like that. We even ate in the museum restaurant for $23 tip and all.

For a romantically challenged guy like me, it was bottom of the ninth, down by 3, with 2 outs, 2 strikes, and the bases loaded. God handed me a fastball down the middle and I hit it out of the park. Thank you Lord.

Ken - I have the same problem but unfortunately my stories often end like the KC at bat story. It's encouraging to see that there is hope for guys like us. Nice at bat!
